1. Acceptance of the terms

By accessing or using CapybaraTranslator (capybaratranslator.com, the “Platform”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with them, do not use the Platform.

2. Description of the service

CapybaraTranslator is a platform that provides infrastructure for translation communities (scanlation groups, the “Scans”) to publish and organize their content, and for readers to discover and follow it. Each Scan is an independent community, responsible for the content it publishes.

3. Accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for all activity carried out with your account. You must provide truthful information and be of the legal age required in your jurisdiction to accept these terms. Content marked as 18+ is only available in the corresponding mode, and you declare that you are of legal age to view it.

4. Subscriptions and payments

Scans may offer paid subscription plans with benefits defined by each Scan (for example: downloads or ad-free browsing). Payments are processed through PayPal; we do not store card details or payment credentials.

  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the plan's billing interval until you cancel them.
  • You can cancel the renewal at any time from your settings or from PayPal. When you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for; no further renewals are made.
  • Unless required by law, payments already made are non-refundable. For payment issues, contact us.
  • Prices may change; changes do not affect periods already paid for.

5. Content and intellectual property

The Platform acts as an aggregator and infrastructure provider: content is published by the Scans and their members, who are responsible for holding the necessary rights. All rights to the works belong to their respective authors and rights holders. If you are a rights holder and believe that some content infringes your rights, see our DMCA policy.

6. User conduct

You may not: publish content that is illegal, defamatory or infringes the rights of others; harass other users; attempt to breach the security of the Platform; use bots or mass scraping without authorization; or impersonate anyone. Scans may moderate their spaces (including hiding or deleting comments and restricting users), and the Platform may suspend accounts that violate these terms.

Content that sexualizes minors, whether real or drawn (including lolicon and shotacon), is strictly prohibited. Such content is removed as soon as it is detected and results in the expulsion of the scan that published it. You can report it with the report button on each work's page.

7. Availability and changes

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, with no guarantee of uninterrupted availability. We may modify or discontinue features, and update these terms by posting the new version on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept it.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Platform shall not be liable for indirect damages arising from the use of the service, from the content published by the Scans, or from the relationship between readers and Scans (including subscription benefits defined by each Scan).
