Privacy Policy

1. Data we collect

  • Account data: email address, username, password (stored as a hash) and, optionally, avatar, banner and profile description.
  • Usage data: reading history, favorites, lists, comments, followed scans and reader preferences, so the Platform can work (continue reading, notifications, etc.).
  • Technical data: IP address and browser data for security, abuse prevention and regional access limits when a Scan sets them up.
  • Cookies: we use a session cookie (token) to keep you signed in, and, when ads are shown, third-party cookies from advertising providers.

2. Payments

Subscriptions are processed through PayPal. We do not store card numbers or payment credentials; we only receive from PayPal the data needed to manage your subscription (subscription ID, status, dates and amounts of charges, and the email address linked to your PayPal account).

3. Advertising

We may show ads from third-party advertising networks to fund the Platform and the Scans. When ads are shown, these providers may use cookies and similar technologies to personalize ads according to their own privacy policies. Users with an active subscription or an “ad-free” benefit do not see ads.

4. Emails

We send transactional emails (verification, password recovery) and optional notifications (new chapters, announcements from scans you follow). You can unsubscribe from notifications through the link included in every email or from your settings.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We only share data with the providers we need to operate: payment processing (PayPal), email delivery (Resend), file storage and infrastructure (Cloudflare) and, when ads are shown, advertising networks. The Scans you follow can see your public profile information and aggregated data about their subscribers.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can request the deletion of your account and personal data by writing to us; we will delete or anonymize your data, except for what we must keep due to legal obligations (for example, transaction records).
